The Rural Special Junior High Quiz Bowl Team is the undefeated 1A Regional Champions. Team members are: (Front row, left to right) Jocelyn Rushing, Jayden Blackwell, Easton Youngblood, Mary Rodgers, Ava Youngblood, Sabrina McBroom, Logan Newman, Tucker Taylor, Hudson Nichols, Kamrin Kennedy, and Gregory Holmes. Taylor led the team in scoring and was named to the All-Region team. The team is coached by Kara Blackwell.

Rural Special honored our Senior Class of 2024 at last night's ballgame. We are so proud of all of their accomplishments!

There will be no school on Monday, January 22, in the Mountain View School District. Again, no school tomorrow.

The basketball games at Concord currently scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 16 have been moved to Tuesday, January 30. The Jr. Girls and both Sr. High teams will play.

Our school participated in Devo Davis's DEVOted Readers program the last couple of months. Students in each school who read the most books won a signed basketball from Devo. Harrison Lay was our winner at Rural Special! Congratulations, Harrison!!!
