Second grade students use finger lights to follow along in a nonfiction book, “Bird Feet.”
MVES - Fourth grade students working with Tyler Caston from the Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service to build and program robots to perform certain tasks. Students learn teamwork, problem solving, critical thinking, engineering, and design through this 4-H program.

Mrs. Branscum’s class constructing and measuring “bone towers” for Halloween. The tallest tower was 5.25 inches!
MVES-Mrs. Robinson’s 2nd graders read “Piñata Fiesta” in shared reading and made their own piñata, following the instructions given in the book. (Procedural/How-To Nonfiction) They busted it during their Halloween celebration.
