MVES - We would like to say a big THANK YOU to some special people and show appreciation for the years they have devoted to Mountain View Elementary. We have three teachers who together have taught over 100 years!! Ms. Holly Sutton - 41 years (40 years teaching in 3rd grade, 4th grade, as well as, Chapter 1 and 1 year subbing - all at Mountain View Elementary) Mrs. Francis Idrogo - 32+ years (32 years in Kindergarten and 1 semester in 5th grade - all at Mountain View Elementary) Mrs. Teena Trammell - 28 years (10 years in Kindergarten at another district and 18 years in Reading Intervention at Mountain View Elementary) Ms. Dalene Williams has taken care of our teachers and students by keeping our building clean for the past 10 years. MVES - It's Assistant Principal's Week! This is Mrs. Shipman and on behalf of Mountain View Elementary, I want to give a shout out to Mrs. Futrell, as she is the Best of the Best! From our students to our staff to our community, she is always willing to do what needs to be done and no one does it better or quicker than her. Each day, Mrs. Futrell is an example of the Golden Rule 🏆(treating others the way you want to be treated.) If you have ever received a food box from the school pantry, it's because of her. She is also the director of our Pre-K. The next time you see her, please tell her "thank you" for a job well done. This picture sums up how she supports me and I appreciate everything she does for MVES and for me. Thank you, Mrs. Futrell...we are so thankful you are our Assistant Principal ♥️

MVES - Have you ever wondered what an owl has for dinner? We had some inquiring 4th graders research that very question by dissecting owl pellets (regurgitated undigested parts of an owl’s food).

MVES - Due to the need for make-up days missed during the Fall Semester, the following Mondays, February 12 and February 19, will be "school days". This Monday, February 12, has been designated as our NWEA Maps Achievement Day. Letters were sent home notifying you if your student qualified or not. All students who showed growth earned Monday off. Students who did not show growth, we will be addressing those needs on Monday and they must attend. Enjoy your weekend!
